Misyar

A type of Nikah contract that is conducted in the presence of a wali, witnesses, with an offer and acceptance and an agreed mahr, but the bride gives up some of her rights according to Muslim or Shari’ah law, such as some aspects of financial maintenance or that her husband spends all his nights with her.
